The Clayton County Black Ministers Fellowship will host an Ecumenical Service on Sunday, June 7, at 3 p.m., at the Greater St. Peter African Methodist Episcopal Church. At that time, the organization will install its newly elected officers. Rev. Isaiah Waddy, the newly elected chairman of the group, will lead the 25-year-old organization. The Clayon County Black Ministers Fellowship aims to continue being a strong force in the community, focusing on education, the criminal justice system, business development and youth programs. The ministers have assisted the Concerned Black Citizens Coalition of Clayton Cousnty in spearheading the Martin Luther King, Jr., Ecumenical Service for the past 24 years and the Martin Luther King, Jr., Prayer Breakfast for the past 18 years. Rev. Waddy is pastor of the Greater St Peter AME church. Other officers to be installed are: Rev. Fred Shillow, Rev. Wimbley Hale, Jr., Rev. Willie R. Starkes, Rev. Benjamin Glass, and Dr. Walter Burns. Greater St. Peter AME Church is located at 9540 Fayetteville Road, Jonesboro, Ga., 30238.
