Clarence Warren Simpkins
Clarence Warren Simpkins, age 75, of Clayton County passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2009.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, June 5, at 11 a.m., in Horis A. Ward Tara Chapel, with the Rev. Ken Davidson officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park Cemetery.
A long-time resident of Clayton County, Clarence Simpkins was a truck driver for many years.
He is survived by wife, Frances Simpkins; one son, Warren Simpkins of Thomaston; two daughters, Ginger Turner (Daniel) of Jonesboro, Linda Johnson (Blake) of Savannah, Tenn.; eight grandchildren; three brothers, Joel, Paul, Millard Simpkins.
He is preceded in death by one sister, Stella Simpkins; one brother, Willard Simpkins.
The family will receive friends Thursday, June 4, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.

James L. Turner
Mr. James L. Turner of Jonesboro passed away June 2, 2009.
A memorial service will be held Friday, June 5, at 2 p.m., at First Baptist Church of Jonesboro with Deacon Lanson Newsome and the Rev. Irvin Pearre officiating. The family will receive friends at 1 p.m., prior to service at the church.
He is survived by his wife, Therese Turner; step-daughters, Jeannie and Mark Llewellyn, Lynn and Gordon Wong, Kathleen and Jean-Marc Blanchard all of California; step-sons, Jimmy and Moria Kang, Michael Kang, both of California; sisters Marilyn Eason of Virginia, Katherine Smith of Jonesboro; brother, David and Connie Turner of Forsyth; nine grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Larry "Bo" Keith
On May 31, 2009 our beloved Bo celebrated his 53rd birthday and his death. He loved his mother and took special care of her. He was a loving man who would do anything for his sisters and nieces.
His is survived by his mother, Tina; siblings, Harry (Cathy), Jenn, Sue, Diane Matthews (Henry); nieces, Jennifer (Mario), Kristin, Kamiyah, Machaela, and Kamryn.
A memorial graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 6, at 11 a.m., in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Reed Crumbliss officiating. Those who would like to make donations in remembrance of Bo Keith, please make those out to First Baptist Church of Forest Park. Note: Donations will go toward helping families in need in our home town.
