Teresa A. Hughes

Teresa A. Hughes, 54, of Lake Harding, Ala., died Saturday, June 6, 2009 in Columbus Hospice House.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 9, in First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Chuck Hasty, Dr. Jones Doughton and the Rev. Gene Forehand officiating, with interment in Fort Mitchell National Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Mike Belle Isle, Mark Belle Isle, Chris Luedtke, Nick Luedtke, Karl Belle Isle, Rodney Wiggins and Hal David Belle Isle. Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren of Mrs. Hughes and St. Francis Hospital staff. The family received friends Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m., at Stiffler-Hamby Mortuary, Macon Road.

Mrs. Hughes was born March 11, 1955 in Atlanta, the daughter of Eloise Chandler Belle Isle of Morrow, and the late William A. Belle Isle.

She graduated from Morrow High School, and graduated from Clayton State College with a BS in Nursing. She was employed with South Fulton Hospital for 17 years, Medical Center for one year and St. Francis Hospital for 16 years. She enjoyed reading, traveling, jet-ski riding, NASCAR and fast-pitch softball. She was preceded in death by her father and brother, Otis Belle Isle.

Survivors include her husband, James W. Hughes of Lake Harding; her mother, Eloise Chandler Belle Isle of Morrow; five children, Eric Otis McKelvey and his wife, Ellen, Mallory Fountain and her husband, Tommy, Jr., Jonathan McKelvey, Jamie Hughes and his wife, Robin, Lori Phillips and her husband, Chad; six grandchildren, Austin Phillips, Jessica Hughes, Ryan Hughes, Noah Phillips, Madison Fountain and Brady Fountain; two brothers, William A. Belle Isle and Hal David Belle Isle; two sisters, Madelyn Luedtke and Delores Wiggins.

Raymond Edward "Camero" Roberts

Mr. Raymond Edward "Camero" Roberts, age 57, of Jonesboro passed away June 4, 2009. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Vietnam, and was a truck driver.

He is survived by his daughters, Suzette Smith (Robert) and Venus Roberts; his ex-wife, Kathy Shinall; eight grandchildren, Malik Wright, Dylan Albert, Destiny Loggins, Danny Loggins, Alicia Smith, Neal Williams, J.R. Smith and Amanda Stodghill; four great-grandchildren and one brother, Don (Jeanett) Roberts, and many nieces and nephews.

In keeping with family wishes, Mr. Roberts was cremated. No services are planned at this time. Mr. Roberts' family and friends will have a memorial service at a later date and time.

Meada P. Hale

Mrs. Meada P. Hale, 76, of Hampton died June 6, 2009. She was preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Jeannetta Patterson.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Melvin Hale of Hampton; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Roy Gardener of Hampton; grandson, Buddy Gardner of Hampton, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Monday, June 8, at 12 p.m., in the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with the Rev. Lynn McClain officiating. Burial followed at Camp Memorial Park. The family received friends Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m.

Joseph R. Carman

Joseph R. Carman, age 76, of Conley passed away Sunday, June 7, 2009. Mr. Carman was a Housing Code Inspector for Clayton County. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He had a passion for making people laugh and was known for painting uplifting messages on rocks that he gave to everyone he met. His greatest joy was making memories. Joe was preceded in death by his brother, James H. Carman, III.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of 50 years, Alice; son, Jeff (Connie) Carman of McDonough; daughter, Cathy (Dereck) Cochran of Fayetteville; grandsons, Johnny (Kristin) Carman, Joey Carman, Jimmy Carman, Brett Brockman, Matt Brockman, Michael Cochran, Adam Cochran; brother, Theron Carman of Snellville; sister, Helen Peyton of Louisville, Ky.; niece, Dr. Margaret Carman of San Luis Obispo, Calif., other family and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 10, at Ward's Parkway Chapel with Dr. Randy Wood officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park in Jonesboro. Family will receive friends Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m., and 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. We have lost a wonderful man and seek comfort in knowing our loss is heaven's gain. Harold E. Morrall

Jan. 3, 1931 - May 24, 2009

Mr. Harold E. Morrall, of Forest Park, passed away May 24, 2009 at Healthfield Hospice in Riverdale.

Mr. Morrall was born in Edmond, Okla. He served in the Korean War and was employed for many years by Union Oil.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 20 years, Roma; a step-daughter, Susan Rose; two step-grandsons, Matthew and Daniel; and a brother, Leonard Morrall of Tulsa, Okla.

We will miss this quiet and gentle soul.

Billy Henry Evans

Mr. Billy Henry Evans, age 76, of Stockbridge passed away, June 7, 2009. He was born in Rex to the late Marjorie and Samuel Evans. He has been a resident of Stockbridge for the last 40 years. He was baptized at The Rock Baptist Church. He was a Korean War veteran from the Air Force and Navy branches of the military. He was also a lifetime member of the Forest Park Masonic Lodge. He is a retired pipe fitter by trade.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Mary Evans of Stockbridge; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Bobby Hanie, Sr., of Stockbridge; sister, Shirley Allen of Rex; grandchildren and spouses, Joey and Kristin Hanie, Crystal and Jacob Biles; grandchildren, Matthew Evans, Mark Evans; and great-grandchild, Mathew Biles; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Funeral services will be held, Wednesday, June 10, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home. Dr. Trenton Swanson will officiate. Interment will be at The Rock Baptist Church Cemetery.
