The Rev. Edward Eugene (Gene) Cox, Jr.

The Rev. Edward Eugene (Gene) Cox, Jr., age 64, of Rex passed away Thursday, June 18, 2009. He was a member of Hampton Heights Fellowship in Hampton. Gene was an automotive mechanic, an ordained minister and for the last 10 years a bus driver for the Henry County School System. Some would say he spent his life getting people where they needed to be. Mr. Cox was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Mary, and his brother, Sammy.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 44 years, Anne; daughter, Patricia Anne (Michael D.) Jones of Lilburn; son, Danny R. (Shellie) Evans of Commerce; five grandchildren; sisters, Betty Keith of Rittman, Ohio, Jeanette Harp of Whitesburg, Doris Roelofs of Covington, Frances Coombs of Hampton; brothers, Lewis Cox of Foxworth, Miss., Sonny Cox of Grayson, Bobby Cox of Ranger, Robert Carlyle of the Philippines; many nieces and nephews, other family and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 23 at 11 a.m., at Ward's Fairview Chapel with the Rev. L.R. Dunigan and the Rev. Danny R. Evans, Sr., officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends Monday, June 22 from 2 to 4 p.m., and 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. William Stacy Moore

William Stacy Moore, age 36, of Fayetteville died on Wednesday, June 17, 2009.

Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, June 21 at 2 p.m., at Pope Dickson & Son-Morrow Chapel. Burial will be at Westminster Memorial Gardens in Peachtree City.

His family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, June 20 from 4 to 8 p.m.

He is survived by his mother, Linda E. Moore of Conyers; daughter, Ashley Moore of Fayetteville; brothers, Tracy Moore of McDonough and Chris Hoffer of Conyers, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
