State Rep. Mike Glanton (D-Jonesboro) and Clayton County Public Schools will present the Clayton County 2009 Cultural Celebration Day Program on Sunday from 7 to 10 p.m., at the Clayton County Schools Performing Arts Center, 2530 Mt. The American Cancer Society will sponsor a Man to Man Prostate Cancer Information Group on Tuesday at 7 p.m. The meeting will be held in the third floor conference rooms at Piedmont Fayette Hospital, 1255 Ga. Highway 54 West, Fayetteville. An expert will discuss treatment options for advanced prostrate cancer. The purpose of this group is to allow men and their families to learn about prostrate cancer diagnosis and other cancer-related topics. The Clayton County Foreclosure Resource Center and the Clayton County-Wide Homeowners Association will host a foreclosure assistance workshop on March 28, from 9:30 a.m., to 3 p.m., at the National Archives Southeast Region, 5780 Jonesboro Road, Morrow. Attendees will gather at 9:30 a.m., and take part in a workshop from 10 a.m., to 12 p.m. During the workshop, attendees will have the opportunity to speak with Realtors, mortgage bankers, attorneys, financial consultants and counselors. Historical Jonesboro/Clayton County, Inc., is selling commemorative bricks that will be used in the city of Jonesboro's streetscape. When completed, the streetscape will feature a walkway where the engraved bricks will be placed. There is an "early bird special" price of $35 for one brick, or three bricks for $100. Fishing day-passes for the Shoal Creek Reservoir, located at 301 Hampton Road, Hampton, are on sale for $10 at the Shamrock/Blalock Reservoir entrance office, located at 2688 Shamrock Road, Jonesboro. Passes may be purchased Wednesday through Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m. Anglers will need to purchase a pass in advance, then select a Saturday for fishing.
