Clayton County authorities were looking for a man Wednesday who fled, handcuffed, from sheriff's deputies after being arrested.
Clayton County Sheriff's spokeswoman Sgt. Sonja Sanchez said deputies arrested Cameron Richardson, 19, around 3:30 p.m., Wednesday near the intersection of Tara Boulevard and Mt. Zion Road. "The officer was doing a vehicle pullover ... for a seatbelt violation," Sanchez said. She said deputies found marijuana and what appeared to be ecstasy pills in his possession. Authorities also found two firearms in the vehicle, she said. Richardson was in custody with handcuffs on when he broke away while deputies were questioning two other males who had been in the vehicle, she said. The other two men were not arrested. Sanchez said Richardson has an extensive criminal record though she could not provide details. Richardson was described as a black male, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing about 180 pounds. Anyone with information as to his whereabouts was asked to call the Clayton County Sheriff's Office or 911. - Linda Looney-BondMore like this story
