Clayton State University's School of Business has opened enrollment for a second, Saturday, Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) preparation course, set to take place in May.
The GMAT is one of the factors colleges and universities consider in determining whether a student meets admission requirements for graduate-level business programs.
Students enrolled in the prep course will meet on May 2, 9, 16, and 23, from 2 p.m., to 6 p.m., in room 322 of the James M. Baker University Center.
The first two sessions will focus on reviewing for GMAT's quantitative section, while the third session will be a review for the verbal section of the test. The final session will be a review of the entire GMAT.
The course will be taught by instructors from Success Prep, an Atlanta-based test preparation company.
The cost to register for the course is $50, although there is an additional cost of $39.95 for two textbooks used during the course. Admission will be done on a first-come, first-served basis.
Students who complete the course, take the test, and are then accepted into the fall 2009 group for Clayton State's Master's of Business Administration program, will be the only ones eligible for a refund of the registration fee, university Spokesman John Shiffert said in a written statement.
The deadline to apply for the fall cohort is June 1.
The registration form, and fee should be sent to Andrea Johnson, MBA Program, School of Business, Clayton State University, 2000 Clayton State Boulevard, Morrow, Ga., 30260.
The registration form can be obtained online at either http://business.clayton.edu/MBA/gmat.htm, or http://fayette.clayton.edu/MBA/gmat.htm.
