Outdoor festival set for Family Life Baptist Church


Family Life Baptist Church will host an Outdoor Family Festival Saturday from 11 a.m., to 4 p.m., at the Sears Outlet Store (formerly CompUSA), located at 1915 Mt. Zion Road in Morrow. The event will include live gospel music, free food from the grill, and prizes. Those with talent are encouraged to share their gift during the festival's open-mic period. Morrow Presbyterian Church, located at 6171 Huie Drive in Morrow, will host its annual sale of books, DVDs, CDs, tapes and baked goods in support of the American Cancer Society. St. James the Apostle Catholic Church, located at 1000 Decatur Road in McDonough, will host an interfaith concert on Monday, at 7 p.m., featuring notable Christian entertainers Matt Maher, Brenton Brown, and the Michael Gungor Band. Forest Park First Baptist Church's VIP Ministries will meet Tuesday, at 10:45 a.m., in the church's fellowship hall for a special lunch program of interest to senior citizens. The ROC (Recreational Outreach Center) of First Baptist Church of Jonesboro will highlight marriage, and honor Clayton County's first responders on Friday night, March 27, with a screening of the movie "Fireproof," as well as a concert by John Waller, who is featured in the film. Each first responder attending will receive a free gift, and several door prizes will also be given. The doors will open at 6:15 p.m., with the concert starting at 6:30 p.m. The movie will begin at 7 p.m. Free child care is available with reservations for children from birth through the fifth-grade.
