Harold J. Dobbs

Harold J. Dobbs, age 85, of Jonesboro died on March 20, 2009.

Graveside services are scheduled for Monday, March 23, at 1 p.m., at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Tom Shannon officiating.

His family will receive friends at Pope Dickson & Son-Jonesboro Chapel on Sunday, March 22, from 2 to 5 p.m.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Linda Peek.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby Dobbs; daughter and son-in-law, Debby and David Greenwood; four-grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

Ronald A. Davis

Mr. Ronald A. Davis, age 75, of Stockbridge passed away March 19, 2009. He retired from the U.S. Air Force, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jonesboro.

He is survived by wife Barbara Davis; children, Keith Davis, Alan Davis and Traci Phillips; brother, John Davis; sister, Joy Eidson; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Monday, March 23, at 11 a.m., at the First Baptist Church of Jonesboro with the Rev. Irvin Pearre officiating. The body will lie in state from 10 to 11 a.m., at the church. Edna Faye Smith Arnold

Mrs. Edna Faye Smith Arnold, age 82, of McDonough passed away March 19, 2009 at Sacred Journey Hospice. Mrs. Arnold was born in Oconee County, S.C., the daughter of the late Ella Fair Hudson and Sam Jefferson Smith. Mrs. Arnold was a member of Philippi Baptist Church. She retired as a supervisor from Dowling Textile working there 28 years. Mrs. Arnold enjoyed her family, traveling, camping, gardening, flowers, cooking, and sewing and was known as being a very adventurous lady.

Her husband, Garfield Arnold; sisters, Eva Cantrell and Euna Holbrook; brothers, Winfred, Clyde and Newell Smith, preceded her in death.

Survivors are her children, Betty (George) Walden of Jackson, Sam (Sharyn) Arnold of McDonough, Gale Price of Franklin, N.C., Richard (Margie) Arnold of Monticello and Faye (Jimmy) McGregor of McDonough; 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter; sister, Bertie Mundy of McDonough and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service for Mrs. Arnold will be Sunday, March 22, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with the Rev. Joey Seabolt and the Rev. Dee Keith officiating. Mr. Thomas Lee McKinney passed away March 20, 2009.
