Clayton County Public Schools will host a construction update meeting tonight at 6 p.m., in the commons area of Riverdale Middle School, 400 Roberts Drive, to discuss an 11-classroom addition at the school. Campbell, a 2007 graduate of Mundy's Mill High School, has graduated from a nine-week basic combat training course at Fort Sill in Lawton, Okla. During his training, Campbell studied the military justice system, first aid, rifle marksmanship, map reading and land navigation, armed and unarmed combat, and field maneuvers and tactics. Campbell is the son of Riverdale residents Simuel and Latisha Campbell. The United States Army National Guard recently announced Pfc. Alexander Beveridge, son of Jonesboro resident Ben Massengale, has graduated from a nine-week basic combat training course at Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C. During his training, Beveridge studied basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare, rifle marksmanship, map reading, field tactics, the military justice system and basic first aid, and performed field training exercises. The United States Air Force recently announced Airman Christopher T. Creecy, son of Riverdale resident Linda Creecy, has graduated from a six-week basic military training course at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. During his training, Creecy studied the Air Force mission, core values, and military customs, along with rifle marksmanship, and human relations. Additionally, airmen who complete basic training receive credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. The United States Air Force recently announced Airman Shanice L. Boyd, the niece of Riverdale resident Vernon Lyons, has graduated from a six-week basic military training course at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. During her training, Boyd studied the Air Force mission, core values, and military customs, along with rifle marksmanship, and human relations. Additionally, airmen who complete basic training receive credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. The United States Air Force recently announced Airman Alexander J. Long, a 2007 graduate of Lovejoy High School, has graduated from a six-week basic military training course at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. During his training, Long studied the Air Force mission, core values, and military customs, along with rifle marksmanship, and human relations. Additionally, airmen who complete basic training receive credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Long is the grandson of Fayetteville resident Hester Kimbro, and the nephew of Riverdale resident Walter Glover. The United States Air Force recently announced Airman Anson Monestime, II, a 2007 graduate of Mundy's Mill High School, has graduated from a six-week basic military training course at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. During his training, Monestime studied the Air Force mission, core values, and military customs, along with rifle marksmanship, and human relations. Additionally, airmen who complete basic training receive credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Monestime is the son of Jonesboro resident Michelle St. Louis, and the brother of Tallahassee, Fla., resident Blandine Monestime.
