Mrs. Heather Anderson, age 24, of Jonesboro passed away April 29, 2009. She was a member of Jonesboro First United Methodist Church, where she taught in the pre-kindergarten program. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mary McElroy and John Dorman. She is survived by her husband, Joshua; children, Hayden Henderson and Nathaniel Anderson; mother and stepfather, Donna and Gary Ledbetter of Jonesboro; father and step-mother, Donnie and Vickie Wooten of Fayetteville; siblings, Jamie Wooten, Tammy Anderson, Gary Ledbetter, Jr., Amanda Prince; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held, Sunday, May 3, at 3 p.m., at Jonesboro First United Methodist Church. She will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the church. The Rev. Charles Robinson, the Rev. Beverly Casstevens and the Rev. Candy Thacker will officiate. Interment will be at Riverdale First Baptist Church Cemetery. Robert Raulins, age 95, of Forest Park passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2009. He served in the United States Army Air Corp and retired from Delta Air Lines as a Revenue Accounting Manager. Mr. Raulins was a member of Forest Park Baptist Church for 56 years. Along with his church family he is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Helen Raulins; his son, John Raulins of Morrow; daughters, Mary Raulins of Morrow, Lois Hanly and her husband, Les of Jacksonville, Fla., and his granddaughter, Mackensey Marie Hanly.
Funeral services will be held today, May 1, at 11 a.m., at Forest Park Baptist Church in Forest Park, with the Rev. Reed Crumbliss officiating. Bobby Joe Sims, Sr., 78, of Eatonton died April 28, 2009.
He is survived by his wife, Essie Sims of Riverdale; children, Tim Sims of Greensboro, Ga., Angie Walters of Silver Creek, Ga., Joey Sims of Jonesboro, and LaRenda Sims of Charleston, S.C. ; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister Laverne Wilkes of Tucker; brother Fritz Sims of Warner Robins; brother Lavoe Sims of Tucker; and sister Patsy Ammons of Hampton; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 2, at 11 a.m., at the Chapel of Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with the Rev. Floyd Carmack officiating. Interment will be Saturday, at 4 p.m., in the Delay Family Cemetery in Oconee County. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
