Mrs. Joyce Malone Ison

Oct. 10, 1913 - May 2, 2009

Mrs. Joyce Malone Ison, age 95, of Griffin passed away on May 2, 2009 at Brightmoor Nursing Center.

Mrs. Ison was born in Fayette County on Oct. 10, 1913 to the late William Byron Malone and the late Mary Cannon Malone. She was preceded in death by husband, William Newton Ison and a daughter, Ruby Ison Parker, brothers, Roy Malone, Ray Malone, Bob Malone, sisters, Inez Ison, Ruby Evans, Net Carson, Ethel Biles. Mrs. Ison formerly worked for Spalding Hosiery Mill and was a member of the Living Waters Church.

Survivors include children, Judge William H. Ison of Jonesboro, Newton Ison of Brooks, the Rev. Bonny Ison of Crawfordville, Fla., Brenda Neal of Forsyth, Linda Shepherd of Defuniak Springs, Fla., Marion Ison of Griffin, Sherry Gary of Rex, Mike Ison of Defuniak Springs, Fla.; 22 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted today, May 5, at 3:30 p.m., in the chapel of the Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. The Rev. Lewis James and the Rev. Lee Roberts will officiate. Dianne Prichard Arnold

Dianne Prichard Arnold, age 65, succumbed to small intestinal cancer after a brief illness on Thursday, April 30, 2009. Dianne was born in Atlanta on Sept. 9, 1943 and raised in Alcoa, Tenn. She married Ralph Thomas Arnold in 1965 and they enjoyed 43 years and 7 months of marriage. She has resided in Senoia since November 2006 and formerly resided in Riverdale for 34 years, where she raised her children, Ralph Gregory Arnold, Sr., and Kimberly Tess Arnold Keller. Dianne was a wonderful homemaker and active with the American Cancer Society where she provided transportation for patients to radiation treatments. Dianne started a new career in real estate in 1987 with Jan Trammell Real Estate, Inc., in Fayetteville where she successfully worked until her death. Dianne made many friends throughout her career as a Realtor and as a willing volunteer with her children's recreational associations.

Dianne is survived by her husband, Ralph Thomas Arnold; her son, Ralph Gregory Arnold and wife Linda Arnold of Goodlettsville, Tenn.; daughter, Kimberly Tess Arnold Keller and husband John Carter Keller, Sr., of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Ralph Gregory Arnold, Jr., and Sarah Gordon of Goodlettsville, Tenn., John Carter Keller, Jr., and Matthew Thomas Keller of Fayetteville; brother, Roy Lee Prichard, Jr., and wife Sandy of Louisville, Tenn.; sister, Karen Sue Prichard Pounders of Sharpsburg; brother-in-law, Larry Scott and wife Martha Arnold Scott; sister-in-law, Nancy Arnold Roddy of Douglasville; nephew, Bradley Pounders and his wife Candice Pounders of South Carolina; niece, Beth Prichard of Sarasota, Fla.; and Laurel Johnson of Grantville; great nephews, Nickolas and Shelby Johnson; and great niece, Carly Pounders of South Carolina.

Visitation was held Sunday, May 3, at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home from 2 to 4 p.m. The funeral service was Monday, May 4, at Christ Our Hope Lutheran Church in Riverdale at 11 a.m.

Mr. Thomas Robert Bacuss, III

Aug. 26, 1983 - May 2, 2009

Mr. Thomas Robert Bacuss, III, age 25, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2009.

Mr. Bacuss was born in Fulton County on Aug. 26, 1983. He was employed at Burger King.

Survivors include father and step-mother, Thomas Ro, Jr., and Sharlene Bacuss; mother and step-father, Susan and Bernard Schill; brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Colleen Bacuss; sister, Shawn Jenkins; step-sister, Karen Christensen; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 6, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of the Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Senoia City Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday evening from 12 p.m., until the funeral hour, at the funeral home.
