Pets of the Week - May 7, 2009

Preston is a 2 year old Shih Tzu. He has been neutered and all vaccinations are current. We don't have much history on this little doll, except that he was found dirty and terribly matted, alone in a rain storm. After his rescuers failed to locate his family, he was surrendered to CCHS. Due to the poor condition of his coat, he had to be totally shaved down, but once he has grown back his pretty "locks", he'll be every bit as gorgeous as he is sweet. Preston is a great little dog, and will make the perfect companion for some lucky family. For more information, please call Clayton County Humane Society at 770/471-9436. Tippy is a gorgeous 2 year old, dilute Tortie, domestic shorthair. She has been spayed and all vaccinations are current. Shortly after a CCHS staffer rescued a pregnant stray, we were blessed with the safe birth of Tippy and her three siblings (Scooter, Trixie, and Celeste....all still at the CCHS shelter, and all available for adoption). Tippy is perhaps the most shy of the litter, but very friendly and affectionate. Because of being born at the shelter, and handraised by CCHS staff, the entire litter is extremely friendly and well-adjusted. All of them do well with other cats. If you might be interested in adopting Tippy or any of her siblings, please contact Robin at 770/478-7531. This litter has NEVER known a home; their entire lives have been spent in the confines of a shelter. Please visit www.claytoncountyhumane.org to see other animals available for adoption.
