Gwendolyn Christell Stokely

Gwendolyn Christell Stokely, 81, of Palmetto, formerly of Stockbridge, died May 11, 2009 at Piedmont Fayette Hospital. She was born April 21, 1928 and was from Greenville, Fla. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wade Stokely; infant son, William Thomas Stokely; grandson, Mike Stokely; parents, Patry and Guy Coker and brother Buck Capps.

The memorial service is Saturday, May 16, at 4 p.m., at the First Baptist Church of Stockbridge, 4566 N. Henry Blvd., Stockbridge, Ga., 30281. The family will greet visitors at the church on Saturday between 2 and 3:30 p.m. Burial will be in Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, in Madison, Fla. Patrick H. Cunningham

Mr. Patrick H. Cunningham, age 61, of Locust Grove passed away May 12, 2009 at the Henry Medical Center. Pat was born in Columbus, Ohio, to Andrew George Cunningham and the late Wilma Dorothy Runge Cunningham. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and was retired after over 25 years with McDonnell-Douglas. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and the outdoors.

Survivors include his wife, Lorie Cunningham of Locust Grove; daughters, Denise (Jason) Maldonado of Locust Grove, Lisa (Scott) Griffin of Kathleen, Andrea (James) Williams of Bonaire, Connie (Kevin) Hamrick of Rome, Melinda (Dustin) Engle of Loganville, Melissa (Chris) Kimsey of Lawrenceville; grandchildren, Ashley, Amanda and Angela Maldonado, Gracie and Scotty Griffin, James Williams, Dylan Cunningham, Logan and Katelyn Williams, Chase and Noah Hamrick and Austin Heard; father, Andrew Cunningham of Columbus, Ohio; brother, Robert Cunningham of Gahanna, Ohio; sister, Eileen (Roger) Beller of Medina, Ohio.

Henry Lee Cook

Mr. Henry Lee Cook, age 71, of Jenkinsburg, formerly of Locust Grove, passed away May 12, 2009. He was born in Henry County, the son of the late Stella Mae Chamlee Cook and Henry Jackson Cook. Henry Lee was a member of the Locust Grove United Methodist Church. He owned and operated several businesses in Locust Grove, IGA Henry's Super Market, Henry's Real Quik, and Henry's Quik Stop, and for many years, he farmed and raised cattle. He enjoyed camping, spending time with his family, working with his farm equipment and attending his cattle. He served his country in the National Guard for six years. He was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Bedsole and a brother, William J. Cook.

Survivors are his wife, Tiny Cook of Jenkinsburg; children, Martha Ann and Phil Turner of Locust Grove, Donnie and Teresa Cook of Locust Grove, Patty and Sammy Smith of Jackson, Buster and Tammy Cook of Locust Grove; 10 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; sister, Joann Pitts of Griffin; brother, Ricky Cook of Locust Grove; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Cook will be on Friday, May 15, at 2 p.m., at the Locust Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Doug Gilreath and the Rev. Ron Capes officiating. Dalice L. Hill

Dalice L. Hill, age 83, of McDonough passed away May 13, 2009. She was of the Baptist Faith.

She is survived by her sister, Maude Messer of Ellaville, Ga.; many nieces, nephews and extended family.
