jsmith@henryherald.com A Clayton County man is being held without bond in the Henry County Jail, after he reportedly used a toy gun to rob a taxi driver. Quentin Calloway Wilkinson, 19, of Morrow is charged with one count of armed robbery. Henry County Police said the robbery took place May 15. According to Police Capt. Jason Bolton, the taxi driver picked up the suspect at a Circle K gas station in Morrow, and drove him to Hudson Bridge Road, in Henry County. The suspect "pointed a gun at the driver and demanded his cell phones," said Bolton. "The suspect took two phones, cash, a debit card, and the victim's driver's license. The suspect then fled on foot." Detectives with the police department began an investigation, with assistance from the agency's Uniform Patrol Division and the Criminal Apprehension and Gang Enforcement Unit, police said. Police reportedly identified and arrested Wilkinson within an hour of the robbery, said Bolton. "It was discovered that the gun used by the suspect was a toy gun," said Bolton. "All of the victim's property was recovered." Wilkinson appeared Saturday in Henry County Magistrate Court, and his case was reset for June 8. Bond will be determined at a later date, by a Superior Court judge.More like this story
