Morrow Police arrested three juveniles in a stolen vehicle following a high speed chase on Wednesday.
The incident started when a Morrow officer noticed the 2004 Dodge Intrepid on Hwy 54 near Interstate 75, according to Morrow Police Chief Jeff Baker. The officer ran the tag number and discovered that the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Atlanta Tuesday night. The officer attempted to pull the car over, and the driver took off on I-75, according to Baker. Baker said Morrow Police contacted the Georgia State Patrol, and state troopers joined the chase. "The suspects got on I-75 northbound, got off at Langford [Parkway], then got back on, ending up at East Point, and [the] Atlanta line," where the arrest took place, Baker said. "All five in the car were juveniles. Three of the five were arrested, ages 14 to 16," said Baker. "This is part of a metro-wide blitz that we're doing today," Baker said Wednesday. "I've got more units out than I normally would today. We brought in some off-duty people for this operation," he said. - Linda Looney-BondMore like this story
