Piper is a calico domestic shorthair. Her mom came into CCHS as a pregnant stray, and on March 23, 2004, she gave birth to Piper and her siblings. Just a few months later, little Piper was adopted into a new home. Just recently, five years later, Piper was returned to CCHS. Her former family was going through an illness, and didn't think that they could care for Piper any longer. Piper didn't understand what was happening, and she was extremely unhappy about being in the shelter with so many other cats. She has calmed down greatly, and she does very well with people. She is still a bit testy with other cats, but would probably be okay in a home with only one or two other cats. She has been spayed and fully vaccinated.
