It's Thanksgiving week, a good time to stuff yourself on turkey and high school basketball.
On Monday, the 20th Morrow Thanksgiving Classic Tournament tipped off with the Morrow playing Jasper County in girls and boys action.
The tournament continues today with Lovejoy taking on Therrell in girls action at 3 p.m., and Forest Park playing Threrell at 4:30 in boys action.
The tournament continues Wednesday for local teams as SACA plays the Morrow girls at 6 and the two schools play in boys action at 7:30 p.m.
After taking Thursday off, the event begins at 9 a.m. on Friday and continues throughout the day with four local games. At 3 p.m., the Morrow girls play Jackson at 3 followed by the Morrow and Jackson boys at 4:30.
Lanier plays Lovejoy at 6, followed by Lanier and Forest Park taking to the court at 7:30 p.m.
The tournament ends Saturday with three local games taking centerstage as Jackson plays Lovejoy in girls action at 3. Jackson plays Forest Park at 4:30 and Fayette County takes on Morrow at 6.
Today will also be a time for schools to renew basketball rivalies.
At Ola, the Mustangs play host to Henry County in a non-region game.
The girls game starts at 3 and the boys game starts at 4:30.
In other games, Luella plays host to Stockbridge in a boys and girls doubleheader starting at 6 p.m.
Also tonight in a rivalry matchup, Woodland plays host to Union Grove. Tip off for the girls game is set for 6 p.m.
