Clayton fugitive nabbed in New Hampshire

One of the Clayton County sheriff's 10 most wanted fugitives is behind bars in New Hampshire, authorities said.

Ricky Marcus Allen, 21, is wanted in Clayton County on charges of rape, aggravated sodomy and aggravated child molestation, according to Clayton County Sheriff's Sgt. Sonja Sanchez.

The incident which led to the charges allegedly occurred Feb. 1, 2008. Warrants in the case were filed Sept. 1 of this year, alleging that Allen committed the acts against a female in Clayton County.

Allen was arrested by Rochester, N.H., police on Oct. 16, authorities said.

Rochester Police Lt. Paul Toussaint said Friday that authorities in New Hampshire were notified of the warrants against Allen and knew where to find him - at 17 Winter Street.

"We went to where he was staying and picked him up there," Toussaint said.

He said Allen has had several contacts with police there since November of 2008, one of which resulted in an arrest.

"He was arrested in July of this year for fraudulent use of a credit card," Toussaint said. He said Allen was found guilty and fined in that case.

Allen was being held Friday in the Stafford County Jail, according to jail officials, as a fugitive from justice. Stafford County Corrections Department Officer Troy Chabot said Allen is scheduled for a court appearance Nov. 6.

Sanchez said authorities in Clayton County will seek to extradite Allen to Georgia to face the charges against him.
