The Clayton County Board of Education is scheduled to begin its November business meeting on Monday at 5:30 p.m., rather than the usual start time of 6:30 p.m., so the school board can go into a one-hour executive session at the beginning of the meeting to discuss personnel matters, according to School Board Chairperson Alieka Anderson.
Anderson said -- during the open session of the business meeting -- the board will also vote on several items, including: whether to begin using a pool of six law firms for the school system's legal-services work; whether to hold the 2010 high school graduation ceremonies at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta; decisions on job placement and coaching-services contracts for WORKTEC; and whether to begin the formal process of asking the City of Riverdale and county officials to de-annex 155 acres of school system-owned property in Riverdale. - Curt YeomansMore like this story
