Former Eagle's Landing Christian pitcher Hope Rush fired a no-hitter in the first game of an ACC doubleheader as Georgia Tech defeated Virginia Tech 15-1 in five innings. Rush struck out seven and walked just three en route to the victory in game one.
It was the second career college no-hitter for Rush.
Then in the night cap of the doubleheader on Friday, she showed she could get it done with the bat too as she went 2-for-3 with an RBI as Tech won 3-1.
The two teams close out the ACC series Saturday at 1 p.m on the Georgia Tech campus.
