Archie is a beautiful gold and white domestic shorthair. He is approximately 8-9 months old, and he has been neutered and vaccinated. Archie and his mom, Delilah (also available for adoption) were found at Animal Control. Delilah was very friendly and outgoing, but Archie was clearly devastated and terrified by his surroundings. Delilah was pregnant, so she had to be pulled, and we knew that Archie could certainly not be left behind. Archie immediately went into a foster home, with his mom, and has been making progress with each passing day. Though he is still very cautious and jittery around strangers, he has finally somewhat "warmed up" to his foster mom. He can now be petted and held, which is great improvement from the time of his original rescue. Archie is GREATLY attached to his mom, and will do best if she can be adopted into the same home with him. This arrangement will not be required, but Archie gets a great deal of comfort from having his mom nearby. CCHS believes that Archie will adjust and adapt to a new home and family much quicker if mom is present. Delilah (mom) has already delivered her kittens, and she has been spayed, so she is also ready for a new home and a fresh start at a better life. Archie is an extremely SPECIAL SITUATION, and CCHS is very anxious to find the right home for this boy and hopefully, for his mom also. This is a golden opportunity for someone to really make a difference in the life of an animal, possibly two animals. If you would like to discuss helping Archie, please call Robin at 770/478-7531.
