Smooth Ashlar Grand Lodge presented a plaque to the students and faculty of Jackson High School for their generous donation of water, clothing, and other goods to the victims of the Haiti earthquake.
The presentation was made March 20 at the Henry County Parks and Recreation building during Locust Grove Masonic Lodge #573's 73rd annual banquet. The plaque was received on the school's behalf by Graduation Coach Dary Myricks from Brother Lester Clark and Brother Herschel Grangent, Jr. The people of Haiti are still feeling the effects of the tragedy months later, and there is still much work to be done. Efforts like those demonstrated by the JHS family pave the way for others to do their part. [Hayes is the Grand Master of Masons.]More like this story
