Dale Cramer, author of Bad Ground, winner of the Best Christian Novel of 2004 and Publisher's Weekly Best Books of 2004 awards, will be in Indian Springs at the Generations Gallery Third Annual Writers Conference on April 23-24th. Dale will speak Saturday at 2:30 pm and be available for book signing after 3:30 p.m.during the seminar.
Dale and his wife, Pam, live in McDonough. His books have earned two Christy Awards and numerous other Best Books of the Year Awards. He taught himself how to write after 25 years of experience in the trades provided him with the wealth of characters, stories, and insights that populate his novels.
The two-day seminar, with sessions presented at Pinky's Cafe' and the Gallery, is designed to give access to professional writers, editors, and publishers - an ideal way to learn more about the art of writing and the world of publishing. While his books, Levi's Will, Summer of Light, Sutter's Crossing, and Bad Ground, are available at the Gallery year round, the Conference presents an opportunity to meet the authors one-on-one. Dale is not a stranger to Indian Springs. He graciously gave of his time last fall to be a guest speaker at the Writers Group that meets on Saturdays from 1-4 pm. The support group meets for free every week. Dale, a self-taught writer, enjoyed the camaraderie as much as the ice cream from Mrs. Lee's Sweet Stop.
