Henry County Police are on the lookout for a suspect who reportedly robbed a grocery store in Ellenwood.
The suspect is described as a black male in his late 20s, between 6 feet 1 inch, and 6 feet 5 inches tall, and weighing approximately 300 pounds, according to Henry County Police Capt. Jason Bolton.
The incident reportedly occurred at approximately 9:45 p.m., April 2, at the Ingles at 100 Fairview Road, Bolton said.
"The suspect obtained a DVD from the in-store display, approached register 1, lifted his shirt displaying a firearm in his waist, and demanded the money from the register," Bolton said. "The suspect exited the store with over $500 cash and the DVD. He left the scene in a black, four-door sedan."
Bolton said that at the time of the robbery, the suspect had a "fully grown and groomed" mustache and beard.
"He was wearing a black baseball cap with the letter 'A' written in black with a white outline on [the] front of the cap," he added. "The assailant also wore square, diamond looking earrings and a long, gold-in-color chain with a one- to two-inch cross displaying Jesus hanging on the cross."
