The 2010 Jackson Fine Arts Festival will be held Saturday, May 8 under the oaks at the corner of Third and Dempsey Streets. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. over 18 artists will display their work in the triangle lot in front of Carmichael Insurance Agency. As a special treat on this Mothers Day weekend, a gourmet box lunch created by Gay Grant will be available for $5.
Jeweler Christina Glidden will be displaying designs that have been seen on MTV. Jim Weber will bring his potters wheel and offer his pots and jars for sale. Lee Dale's awesome wood turned items will be available for purchase. Amy Landsburg will be back with her interesting items made from wood and found objects.
New artists this year include Signey Grushovenko, a painter, Tim King, who works in pastels, and New York photographer, Kipp Tarver, who has Covington connections. Tadashi Tori will be back with his incredible blown glass creations.
Local artists, Dale Hill, Fred Goodrum, Liz Carmichael Jones, Scott Coleman Pat Holland and Kathrine Allen Coleman will round out the show.
