Buddy is a 3 year old Australian Shepherd. He has been neutered and all vaccinations are current. Buddy's journey to CCHS was long, and difficult one. Buddy and his family (both human and other dogs) were living in Idaho when their world fell apart. After losing jobs and their home, the family (consisting of a single mother, 2 kids, and 4 dogs) loaded up in their broken down car, left Idaho and headed for Georgia, where they hoped that they would find a better life. They were not quite so lucky. Once here, their housing plans fell through, and they were moving from one cheap motel room to another....being thrown out each time management found out about the dogs. Some nights all of them slept in the car. The situation was becoming desperate, and it was decided that the dogs had to be given up. Poor Buddy suddenly found himself separated from his family and doggie friends. First, quite shy and frightened, Buddy has really come to terms with his new home at the CCHS shelter, and his new human family, comprised of CCHS staff and volunteers who have fallen totally in love with him. He has made some new doggie friends at the shelter, and plays very well with them. For more information about Buddy, please call Clayton County Humane Society at 770/471-9436.
