Do you have a problem in your life that you just cannot solve ? If so, you should pray about it.
Just bring your problems to the Lord and ask Him to give you the solution, the answer you need. However, there are some conditions that you must meet before God will even hear your prayer. First and foremost, you must be in a relationship with God through the Lord Jesus Christ.
Yes, this does mean you must be a Christian, one who believes and has faith in God and has accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
You may want to ask, "Do you mean I cannot pray to God any time I want to, and ask anything I wish? I mean, this is a free country, isn't it?"
Yes, you can, but God only hears the sinner's prayer asking for forgiveness and repenting of his sins. Until you sincerely pray for forgiveness and put your trust and faith in God, He will not hear your prayers for answers to your problems.
But, think about this: It really is a simple action to get into a proper relationship with God. In fact, it is as easy as A.B.C.:
* A -- Admit your sin. Now, you may think you have no sin in your life, you are a good person, you treat others well, and you go to Church some of the time. But, the reality is that all humans have sin in their lives, so just admit that sin to the Lord.
* B -- You must believe in God and put your faith in Jesus. Is this a difficult thing to do? You may say, 'Hey, I already believe in God,' Good, then you must tell Him that in prayer.
* C -- "Confess" is a word we don't like very much, but it simply means ask God to forgive your sins in Jesus' name. Are you thinking, "I not used to praying and I don't know exactly what to say?"
Well, I'm more than happy to lead you through a prayer that we call the "Sinner's Prayer." But first, you must realize this is a very serious prayer, and you must mean it with all your heart. Can you do that? You say, "Yes, I'm very sincere about this. I do want to be a Christian, because I feel in my heart this is an action I should take, and that God is real and Jesus Christ loves me."
Now, you are thinking right. You want to be a Christian, because you know Christ died for you, just so you could find forgiveness of your sins. Yes. He died for all of us. He shed His royal blood on the cross, so that when we confess our faith and belief in Him, God will forgive our sin. We must sincerely ask Him, in Jesus' name.
I do want to lead you through this prayer, so you may be saved. Would you pray with me? You say, "Yes, I will."
I will say a phrase and you will repeat it after me, OK? (Now, anyone reading this article, if you sincerely want to put your faith and trust in Jesus and be saved, then, be sure to pray this prayer with me).
Let's pray. "Dear God, I know I'm a sinner. I've been trusting in my own self, but now I put my trust in You. I believe in You, and in your Son, Jesus Christ. I believe He died on the cross, to pay for my sin. I believe He rose again on the third day and is alive today, so I ask you to forgive my sins, in Jesus' Name, and to give me your gift of eternal life.
"In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen."
I trust that many prayed this prayer!
May God bless you! Now, God will hear you prayers -- and answer.
