Stockbridge resident, Nattlie Ringer, the chief executive officer of Ringer Employment Solutions, in Atlanta, will hold a conference for leaders of organizations that work with young people, Oct. 3-5, at the Morrow Center. The center is located at 1180 Southlake Circle, Suite 100, in Morrow.
The conference is for adult leaders of groups that work with young people, Ringer said. "Anybody who works with youth, we want them to be a part of this conference," she said.
Workshops will focus on things Ringer said young people need to know to get a job, such as how to dress for a job, employer expectations, or the impact of social networking web sites on a job search. The leaders will then be able to pass that along to the youths they work with, she said.
Ringer said she is also looking for companies, or organizations, that would like to be sponsors for the conference. There are platinum sponsorships (cost is $1,500), gold donors (cost is $1,000), and silver donors (cost is $500). Sponsors will get a display table at the conference, according to a flyer for the event.
The flyer also shows, however, additional benefits are that platinum sponsors get a full-page advertisement in the conference program, while gold donors get a half-page advertisement, and silver donors get a one-quarter-page advertisement. She said she is also looking for vendors, who would like to sell their products or services to attendees.
The cost for an individual to participate in the conference will be $125 per person, and the price to sign up as a vendor will be $150, Ringer said. To sign up for the conference, go online, to http://www.ringercenter.net/.
The deadline to sign up as a participant is Sept. 3, and the deadline to sign up as a vendor is Sept. 15.
