The non-profit, Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation announced that it has begun accepting college scholarship applications for its Class of 2011.
The deadline to apply for the scholarships is Oct. 31, 2010, according to a written statement from the foundation. The applications are available online at www.coca-colascholars.org/, and they must also be submitted online.
The scholarship is open to any high school senior in the United States, the foundation announced.
According to a press release from the foundation, 250, four-year college scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors, based on their achievements. There will be 200 regional scholarships, worth $10,000 each, and 50 national scholarships, worth $20,000 a piece.
Applicants will be evaluated based on their demonstration of leadership in academics, school, community and civic activities, and personal character, and motivation to serve and succeed, according to the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation's statement.
