Mrs. Geraldine “Jo” Evans Mrs. Geraldine “Jo” Evans, 71, of Caryville, Tenn., passed away Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010, at St. Mary’s Medical Center of Campbell County. She was of the Church of God Faith, and was preceded in death by infant daughter, Donna Jean Evans; parents, James C. and Helen Andrews Hendren; stepmother, Pernie Hendren; brothers, Jimmy, Robert, and David Hendren; and sister, Donna Jean Hendren. Survivors are her husband, Gene Evans, of Caryville; two sons, Gregory Wayne Evans and wife, Leigh, of Rex, Ga., and Gary Eugene Evans and wife, Chrystal, of Habersham; six grandchildren, Andrew James Evans, Jessica Nicole Evans Hinkley, Olivia Leigh Evans, Garrett Michael Evans, Grayson Elise Evans, and Kyle Oliver Gage Evans; one great-grandchild, Karsyn Leigh Hinkley; one sister, Gladys Reynolds and husband, Lonnie, of Jacksboro; two brothers, Johnny Hendren, and wife ,Pauline, of Lake City, and James K. Robbins and wife, Charlotte, of the U.S. Army, Retired; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be TODAY (Tuesday) at 8 p.m., at Walters Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Allen Burns, of Jackson, Ga., officiating, with music provided by the Trinity Baptist Church Choir. Family and friends will meet Wednesday, at 2 p.m., at Evans-Woods Cemetery, located on Tionesta Drive, off of Butter & Egg Road, in Jacksboro, for graveside services and interment. The family will receive friends, from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, before services at Walters Funeral Home.
