It will be a busy night for Southern Crescent basketball teams as 12 games are on the slate in both boys and and girls action.
Here are a look at tonight's games. Girls games starts at 6 and boys at 7:30.
Jonesboro at Lovejoy: The best way to describe tonight's game between Lovejoy and Jonesboro's boys in a battle of unbeatens. Lovejoy comes into the game with a 7-0 record The Cardinals enter the contest with a 6-0 record
Forest Park at Tri-Cities: The Lady Panthers, the second-ranked team in Class AAAA, imporved their overall record to 4-1 Saturday with a 78-26 blowout win against Morrow. Forest Park average margin of victory so far this year is more than 48.4 points.
Union Grove at Ola: The Lady Mustangs improved their record to 5-0 with Friday's 48-40 win over Jones County. Laura Carter led Ola with 14 points.
Morrow at North Clayton: After dropping its first game of the year, the North Clayton boys team has won two straght, including a 66-64 win against Riverdale. The North Clayton girls will attempt to keep their record perfect after beating Riverdale Saturday.
Eagle's Landing at Drew: The Eagle's Landing boys and girls basketball teams share something in common heading into tonight's road game against Drew High School.
Both squads have started the season with 2-1 records. Both Drew squads enter the contest fresh off wins against Locust Grove.
Eastside at Stockbridge: After losing its first game of the year to Woodland, the Tigers have turned things around in last two games, beating Spalding on Friday and Jackson on Saturday in boys action.
Jones County at Woodland: The Woodland girls have joined Ola in getting off to a fast starrt, winning their first five games. The boys team is 4-1, and has won its last two games.
Mt. Zion at Mundy's Mill: The Mundy's Mill girls come into tonight's game with a victory against Lovejoy. The Mundy's Mill boys lost on Saturday. Both Mt. Zion teams both fell to Jonesboro.
Jackson at Locust Grove: The Locust Grove boys (4-2) have won three out of its last four games. Tonight, they face a Jackson team looking for its first win of the year. The Locust Grove girls got off to a fast start, winning twice in their own holiday event, but have since lost four in a row.
First Presbyterian at ELCA: The ELCA boys are still trying to get their basketball legs under them after waitng to get several players back from the football team. Right now, ELCA finds itself 1-1 after beating Monticello, and losing to Union Grove.
Stephenson at Luella: Luella opens its Region 2-AAAA basketball season tonight. It will be a challenge for both teams has Stephenson is undefeated in both boys and girls action.
Riverdale at Bannker: Both Riverdale teams try to get back on track on the road tonight after dropping hard fought losses to North Clayton.
The Riverdale boys lost by two and the girls team by three.
