If the Chick-fil-A cows were here, they might urge Clayton County residents to remember to get flu shots.
Well, the cows are not here, but county residents who get a flu shot can end up getting a ticket to "Eat Mor Chikin." Clayton County Board of Health spokesman, Joel Hall, said county health officials are offering coupons, this month, for free Chick-fil-A chicken biscuits, as an incentive to get people to come in for their flu shots.
Hall said the coupons are redeemable at Truett's Grill of Morrow, which is located at 2042 Mt. Zion Rd., in Morrow. Shots are being administered at the Clayton County Board of Health office, located at 1117 Battle Creek Rd., in Jonesboro. The last day to receive a coupon will be Dec. 31, according to the health department spokesman.
Hall also said the Clayton County Board of Health is offering flu shots at a reduced price of $10, per shot.
"Come get your flu shot today," Hall said in a written statement. "Your body, and your community, will thank you."
The Clayton County Board of Health will open from 8 a.m., to 5 p.m., today, and on Dec. 27, 28, 30 and 31. The office will be closed on Thursday and Friday of this week, and it will only be open from 8 a.m., to 1 p.m., on Dec. 29.
