Henry County police are searching for a Clayton County man, who allegedly shot into a moving vehicle, and injured a juvenile.
The suspect, Damian Herring, 27, who is 5 feet, 8 inches tall, and weighs 235 pounds, is considered "armed and dangerous," according to Police Sgt. Mike Ireland, a spokesman for the Henry County Police Department. Police would not say what led them to Herring. The shooting incident, Ireland said, occurred Sunday, on Interstate 75 northbound near the 224 mile marker. "Damian Herring fired several shots from a large caliber handgun into a moving vehicle," said Ireland. "During this incident, a juvenile was struck a round and sustained non-life threatening injuries." The sergeant said Herring frequents hotels on Ga. Highway 138 in Stockbridge, and on Old National Highway. "Herring is tied to several individuals in the Lithonia area as well," Ireland said. Anyone with information on Herring's whereabouts is asked to call Henry County Police at (770) 288-8200, or (770) 288-8259, or after-hours, at (770) 957-9121. –– Jason A. SmithMore like this story
