Passed Away: 2010-12-23 Funeral Home: Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home Joyce Jordan Allen Mrs. Joyce Jordan Allen, 67, of Stockbridge, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010. Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron D. Allen, her father, William Thomas English, and her brother, Tommy English. She is survived by her son, Jason and Joanie Allen, of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Laney, Miller and Hadley; mother, Ivelyn English, of Stapleton; sisters, Ellen and Vic Vickers, of Tifton, Ga., and Krystal and Ronald Ponder, of Metter; sister-in-law Sandra English, of Hartwell, nieces and nephews, Greg Ponder, Robin Brock, Ivey Vickers and Will English. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 29, at 10 a.m., at Jonesboro First Baptist Church.A graveside service will follow at 3 p.m., at Stapleton City Cemetery, Stapleton, Ga. The family will receive friends TODAY (Tuesday, Dec. 28), from 5 p.m., to 8 p.m,. at Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville.
