Clayton County Police believe this man is a person of interest, who may have vital information, in the April 22, 2006 murder of Jonesboro resident, Demetrist Shantell Potts.
Clayton County Police are searching for a person of interest in the murder and torture of a 28-year-old Jonesboro woman.
According to a Clayton County Police public information officer, Sgt. Otis Willis, police are on the lookout for a man who may have information regarding the April 22, 2006, torture and murder of Demetrist Shantell Potts.
The person of interest is believed to have vital information about the murder, Willis said.
"The subjects forcibly entered her [Potts'] home [on Logan Drive], tied her up and tortured her," Willis said.
He added that she was tortured by a sharp object over money that was in the victim's home.
Willis said the subjects are two males, who have connections to Flint, Mich.
"Both [suspects] may have [gone] to Flint Michigan...it is a good possibility that is where they [once] resided," he added.
"The case is coming together at this time," said Willis.
Details about the names of the alleged suspects and person of interest were not available, Thursday.
