Sonny's raises $26,000 for March of Dimes

Sonny's Franchise Company, the parent company of Sonny's Real Pit Bar-B-Q (Sonny's), recently announced that it had raised more than $26,000 for the March of Dimes on Prematurity Awareness Day, bringing the total to $90,000 in three years for the charity.

"March of Dimes is thrilled with the results of Sonny's Real Pit B-B-Q's promotion on Prematurity Awareness Day," said Paula Howell, March of Dimes regional vice president.

"Sonny's continued support is very much appreciated and will help the March of Dimes fund research and programs that help give all babies the chance to be born healthy."

The charity's Prematurity Awareness Day was held Nov. 17, and the new total was from this month.

Added Sonny's Franchise Company Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Bob Yarmuth: "Our partnership with the March of Dimes is very important to us here at Sonny's. We are pleased with the results and are proud to raise much-needed funds to help give babies a healthy start."
