'Persons of interest' sought in Henry robbery

Henry County Police are seeking the public's help in locating two men being called "persons of interest" in a robbery case.

The robbery reportedly took place Monday at 12:32 a.m., at the Kangaroo gas station at 3148 Jodeco Road in McDonough, according to Henry County Police Capt. Jason Bolton.

"A white male suspect dressed in a black hoodie, blue denim pants, and a bandana on his face, wearing white socks on his feet and hands, and no shoes, entered the Kangaroo," Bolton said. "The ... suspect demanded money from the cash register."

He said the suspect, who did not appear to have a weapon, fled the gas station and ran into a wooded area toward the Meadowbrook subdivision.

Police have obtained video surveillance footage from the gas station, which depicts two men leaving the business before the reported robbery. Bolton said the men were seen walking to the right of the store, minutes before the robbery suspect came into the gas station "from the same direction of travel."

Authorities say both men are "persons of interest" in the case.

Anyone with information on the identities of the men in the surveillance video is asked to contact Police Detective John Thacker by phone at (770) 288-8304, by fax at (770) 288-8375, or by e-mail at jthacker@co.henry.ga.us.
