Dutchtown makes history with basketball win

Dutchtown 49, Westside Macon 32:

Derrick Brock scored 15 points as the Bulldogs won their first playoff game ever at home against Westside Macon.

North Clayton 63, Upson-Lee 58

The North Clayton Eagles won their first-round tournament game Friday night at Upson-Lee.

The Eagles were paced by Marcus Hunt's 23 and Clayton State signee Zach Bradley's 16.

Bainbridge 76, Ola 69

The Ola Mustangs basketball team's first-ever trip to the state tournament ended on the road as the squad fell behind by double digits early, and never caught back up.

Ola found itself down by 16 in the first half and couldn't complete the comeback.

Ola was led by Troy Swanson and Tim Mason with 18 points each. Tre McBride added 16.

"I am so proud of the way we played," said Ola coach Curt Miller. "They fought hard to come back."

Westover 75, Woodland 67

Darius Tookes finished with 32 points in his last high school basketball game, but Woodland lost the opener of the Class AAA tournament.

"I'm really proud of our kids, "Our seniors for what we have done in our first three years is a great accomplishment," head coach David Bice said.
