The Clayton County Sheriff's Office Fugitive Unit and Tactical Warrant Unit have arrested a man wanted in connection with a shooting in Ellenwood.
Around 6 p.m., Monday, authorities arrested Sharod Obryant Harris, 19, according to Sgt. Sonja Sanchez, spokesperson for the sheriff's office.
Harris was apprehended, without incident, at an apartment complex located at 1951 South Hampton Rd., in College Park, according to Sanchez.
Harris was charged with two counts of attempted armed robbery, and two counts of aggravated assault, Sanchez said in a written statement.
Warrants for Harris' arrest were issued July 9, stemming from an incident that occurred on Newton Lane, in Ellenwood, in which Harris allegedly shot and wounded a prson named Ilan McKenzie, Sanchez said. Harris was being held at the Clayton County Jail.
