Hazel is a 2 and a half to 3 year old Black Angora mix. She has been spayed and all vaccinations are current. Hazel was surrendered to CCHS when her former "mom" picked a new place to live without making sure that Hazel would be welcome; and unfortunately, animals were not welcome in the new home. Poor Hazel has never adjusted to all the other cats in the CCHS shelter, which has made it necessary for her to live in a cage, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We think she might be okay with another cat of similar temperament; another cat who had an "alpha" type personality and would stand up to Hazel. She would also very likely be just fine and perfectly happy as an "only cat". The primary concern is that Hazel find a home so that she does not have to spend her youthful years sitting in a cage, unable to move around and play like other cats her age.
