A Locust Grove woman was killed in a single-car accident earlier this week, according to police.
The victim has been identified as 33-year-old Sonia Savage.
Henry County Police Capt. Jason Bolton said the accident occurred at approximately 6 p.m., Thursday on Indian Creek Road in Locust Grove. According to Bolton, Savage was driving her Honda Accord eastbound, when the vehicle left the roadway and "struck part of a bridge," killing Savage.
"Savage ... was pronounced dead at the scene," said Bolton, who added that police have ruled out a pair of potential causes for the wreck. "Alcohol does not appear to be a factor, nor was the accident weather-related."
