State and local authorities were searching for a McDonough resident who had not been seen since Saturday.
James Franklin Townsend, 68, is 5 feet, 11 inches tall, and weighs 290 pounds. He was described as having blue eyes, balding white hair, and a beard and mustache.
Henry County Police Capt. Jason Bolton said Townsend was last seen leaving his home Saturday, at approximately 8 a.m.
"He was driving a red Toyota Matrix," Bolton said. "He was wearing a long-sleeved, green, fleece windbreaker, black sweat pants and a baseball cap."
According to Bolton, Townsend's vehicle carries a tag number of DP57BS. Bolton said the Georgia Bureau of Investigation issued a Mattie's Call alert for the missing man, who is "diabetic and has heart problems."
Anyone with information on Townsend's whereabouts is asked to call 911.
