The Steve Lundquist Pool will play host to a 21-team high school meet today. Over 500 swimmers are expected to attend the one-day meet hosted by all nine of the Clayton County schools starting at 10 a.m.
In addition to the Clayton County schools, others expected to attend include Whitewater, Fayette County, Our Lady of Mercy, Troup, Rutlege, Northside-Warner Robins and Upson-Lee. Several swimmers have already made state cut times.
This will be the last big invitational meet before the county championships on Jan. 28 at the pool. North Clayton senior Justin Akin is the only county swimmer with a state cut time. He qualified in the 50-yard free with a time of 23.13 seconds.
