A Jonesboro woman was in the Henry County Jail facing a burglary charge, for her alleged role in attempting to steal scrap metal from a building in Stockbridge.
Virginia Guillen Tornez, 37, is charged with burglary. She was being held in the Henry County Jail Monday, on $20,000 bond.
Tornez appeared in Henry Count Magistrate Court Monday, represented by the Public Defender's Office, and waived her right to a preliminary hearing in the case.
Judge Robert Godwin bound the burglary charge over to Superior Court.
The burglary allegedly occurred Friday, at a building on Naomi Drive in Stockbridge, according to an arrest warrant from Magistrate Court.
"[Tornez] entered the property ... by entering the building and attempting to remove scrap metal from the building," the warrant states.
Additional information on the case was not available Monday, and the owner of the property involved in the alleged burglary could not be reached for comment.
Tornez was arrested by Henry County Police.
