God can change your past and your future

Some may say, now wait a minute, God may be able to change the future, but no one can change the past, because what is done is done, the dye is cast and it cannot be changed.

This is probably the way most people would respond to this statement, but when one is talking about God, our great and mighty God, we must realize that the Bible says in Luke 1:37, "For nothing is impossible for God."

He can heal our bodies, our minds and even change the events of our life, for nothing is impossible for Him. There are so many places in the Bible where God actually changed the past. Consider all those whom He raised from the dead, the most famous and well-known was Jesus Christ Himself, in the glorious resurrection.

Isaiah spoke of Jesus in Isaiah 52:13, "He will be raised and lifted up and highly exalted." Also in Acts 2:32, Peter preached, "God has raised this Jesus to life, and we all are witnesses of the fact."

Jesus raised His friend, Lazarus, from the dead in John 11:38. In verse 40, He said to Martha, the sister of Lazarus, "Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?" Jesus called Lazarus, and he came out of the tomb, "The dead man came out (verse 44)."

Would you not say that his past had been changed, since he was dead but then raised to life?

When I say God can change your past and your future, I sincerely believe He can, if you put your faith and trust in Him. Remember Jesus said: "If you believe."

When one has faith in Jesus Christ and accepts Him as Savior and Lord, he becomes a son of God and a brother of Jesus Christ. Romans 10:9 and 10 tells us: "If you confess (This means we must ask the Lord to forgive our sins) with your mouth, Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (You will be a new person who has a new heart and mind.)

"For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified (forgiven, just as if you had never sinned.) and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."

When we confess our sins, God hears our prayer and will forgive our sins. Ist John 1:9 says, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."

Our great God loves His children and has proven His love for us so many times.

Hebrews 8 tells of the High Priest of a new Covenant, who is Jesus Christ, our living Lord. Please read this short chapter yourself. In verse 12, God says, "For I will forgive their wickedness and remember their sins no more."

This is where God changes the past of all who commit their lives to Him. He forgives our sins and forgets them! Don't we wish we could forget them!

Our past sins are wiped away completely, and He remembers them no more. Sinful ignorance of God will be removed forever, and forgiveness of sins will be an everlasting reality. Halleluiah!

Yes, God forgets our past, for He has forgiven us of all the mean, low-down things we have done. Our past has changed, because, in God's eyes, we have no past, only a great future.

In Jeremiah 29:11, He says: "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Do you know God through the free pardon of your sins in Jesus Christ? Have you accepted Jesus as your Savior, and know you are saved? By His Holy Word, He forgives and forgets your past, changing you forever.

I pray you will ask God, in Jesus' Name, to forgive your sins and make you white as snow!
