A Rex man is being held without bond in the Henry County Jail, accused of molesting an 11-year-old girl.

Pythagrias Arcelio Baldwin, 36, is charged with aggravated child molestation, false imprisonment and sexual battery against a child under 16 years of age.

He appeared in Henry County Magistrate Court Wednesday, and waived his right to a preliminary hearing on the charges against him.

Judge Robert Godwin bound Baldwin's case over to Superior Court.

The alleged incident between the suspect and the victim took place at the child's home in McDonough, between April 25 and April 26, according to a warrant application by McDonough Police Detective Mark Fellows.

"[Baldwin] did hold the 11-year-old juvenile victim down on her bed, while he pulled her shirt down ... leaving a passion mark," Fellows wrote. "[He] did remove the juvenile's pajama pants and underwear ..."

The child, tried to push Baldwin off her, but the suspect was "too strong," the document continued.

Police obtained a warrant for the suspect's arrest Tuesday.

He was taken into custody by a warrant officer from the Sheriff's Office the same day, according to Henry County Sheriff's Chief Deputy David McCart.

Baldwin is being represented by defense attorney, Mike Kendall. Kendall could not be reached for comment on the case Wednesday.
