Paris is a one year old Maine Coon mix. Paris and her sister, Milan (who looks exactly like Paris, and is also available for adoption) were found in the north Georgia mountains. These girls were just tiny babies when someone decided to put them in a box, tape the box shut, and leave them helpless and alone, in an area heavily populated by coyote and bear. Luckily, hikers heard their pitiful screams, and they were able to locate and rescue the gorgeous kittens. The kittens were very frightened and stressed when they came into the CCHS shelter. Months and months of TLC have made a huge difference in the girls; once painfully shy and nervous, they are now sweet, affectionate little ladies. As a tiny kitten, we noticed that Paris found comfort holding one of her front paws in her mouth constantly, much like a human baby who sucks its thumb. Still today, when volunteers hold and cuddle little Paris, her paw still goes right back up to her mouth. These sweet girls can be adopted together or separately, but they would really enjoy finding a home together. Both girls have been spayed and fully vaccinated. JUNE IS NATIONAL ADOPT-A-CAT MONTH, so if you would like more information on Paris and Milan, or any of the great cats and kittens currently in the care of CCHS, please call Robin at 770/478-7531.
