Construction officials from Clayton County Public Schools will meet with residents who live near North Clayton High School tonight to let them know the district is about to begin construction of an auxiliary gymnasium at the school.
The meeting will begin at 6 p.m., in North Clayton's cafeteria. The school is located at 1525 Norman Drive, in College Park.
Construction of North Clayton's auxiliary gymnasium is expected to begin in August, according to the school system's announcement for the meeting. It will be one of several high school auxiliary gymnasiums to be built in the district.
Eventually, all nine high schools in the school system are expected to get an auxiliary gymnasium. Construction of the facilities is being funded by Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) IV.
