Clayton County Police are seeking James Anthony S. Williams as a "strong person of interest" in the murder of a woman found dead in his College Park apartment on Friday, according to a police spokesperson. Lt. Tina Daniel said a relative of Williams called police on Friday about a possible dead body in his apartment. Williams lives at the Lake Regency Apartments in College Park. Police arrived at 4 p.m., and found the body of the woman, who had been shot multiple times with a "high-powered weapon," Daniel said.
"We're still trying to determine what the weapon was, but we know it was a high-powered weapon," she said. She also said people should take "extreme caution," if they see Williams, and notify their local law enforcement agency immediately. There is an unrelated warrant out for his arrest in Atlanta, on a possession of dangerous weapons charge, she said. "It is because of that weapons charge that we believe he should be considered armed and dangerous," she said.
Williams is a 6-feet, 5-inches tall, African-American male, who weighs approximately 280 pounds, according to Daniel. She also said he will turn 30 on Monday. He was last seen driving a 1988 blue, GMC truck, with a silver tool box in the bed of the truck -- Georgia license plate No. BKM 7415.
